„INNO – EKO – TECH” Innovative research and didactic center for alternative energy sources, energy efficient construction and environmental protection – project implemented by the Technical University of Bialystok (PB), co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund under the Programme Infrastructure and Environment. The project will last by the end of October 2015 and it will cost 84 052 343,19 PLN of which 83 631 692,48 PLN will be the amount of a grant from the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment.

The main objective of the project is built and equipped modern research and didactic center for alternative energy sources, energy efficient construction and environmental protection  within the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as improving education quality through the use of ICT solutions (Information and Communications Technology).

The project will support 36 research laboratories giving place for 673 test stands with modern measurement equipment. ICT infrastructure will enable students to acquire practical research skills which will find their application in engineering practice.

The Center will provide teaching activities and scientific research, in the field of innovative solutions and technologies with particular emphasis on minimizing the cost of power generation technologies not only for the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, but also for to other faculties of the Technical University.

The  Center will create new fields of study at the Technical University: biotechnology and multidiscipline: eco-energetics organized jointly by the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The project will help thus to increase the number of students interested in mentioned  fields of study offered by PB: construction, environmental engineering, environmental protection, electronics and telecommunications, electrical engineering, automation and robotics, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering.
